6 Easy Ways to Save Gas!

Top 6 Ways to Save Gas While Traveling

High Gas Funny

Are high gas prices putting a crimp in your travel plans?

Ease the burden with these simple gas-saving tips:

1) Rely on Local Transportation
Choose a travel location that offers local transit, and take advantage of it. Exploring a new city by bus, subway or ferry allows you to see the town as locals see it, and even cuts out the hassle of parking—a bargain for the price of a few bus or subway tokens.

2) Rent a Bike
Why rent a car when you can rent a bike? Beach towns and many other tourist-focused areas offer low-cost bike rentals that make getting around town easy. Pick your bike of choice, and pedal around town at your own pace.

3) Seek Gas Card Offers
Many hotels have begun to offer free gas cards in an effort to offset the ever-increasing price of gas. Take advantage of such an offer, and you could find yourself cruising for free—or at least at a more reasonable price.

4) Foot It
Pick a pedestrian-friendly location, and put your feet
to work. Densely populated cities and even many small towns are perfect for exploring on foot. Lace up those shoes, and explore all of the little nooks and crannies that you’d miss in a car.

5) Look for Shuttle Service
Staying at a big-name hotel? Check to see if they offer a complimentary shuttle service. This will allow you to skip driving all together, and net you a free tour guide—not a bad deal, indeed.

6) Choose an All-In-One Destination
Resorts and other all-in-one destinations completely erase the need for transportation once you arrive. Choose one of these vacation spots, and you’ll have easy access to food, entertainment and everything else that you’d need to make your trip enjoyable.

Big Brother Is Mean To Us....!

illegal aliens

I am the oldest of six....nothing can change that. Everything after me is in comparison or contrast...thats also not likely to change. Was I perfect, no....that's probably gonna stay true too. In the end, we are all family: likes, dislikes, choices and differences; I love them all. Sometimes I am even amazed they still talk to me. I wasn't always kind or good. One thing the ole man always made clear: "Under my roof, under my rules." He NEVER budged on that and made NO excuses or exceptions. Sometimes it seemed harsh; but now it ALWAYS seems wise. Boy was I lucky. Speaking of "under the roof..."

I love this country. I repect those who have lived and died for its priviledges; but "big brother" wants to make concessions and give away freely what had dire costs. It is clear now that Old Glory will truely end up red, white and BLUE; blue (sad) trying to remember how it all went wrong. We so easily forget our troops, their families, past sacrifices, our own laws that extend "our" freedoms to others by what processes and last, but certainly not least, the ONLY God this country was founded UNDER. Sure there are many and even others (gods); but none of them are before Him. We said that back at the beginning after He said it. We have become so preoccupied with erasing the lines in the sand that defined our identity that the coming waves will wash us into the oceans of time like loose sand castles as if we never were. We all have "opportunities;" not to be confused with "rights" to "american freedoms...i.e. freedoms america defines as freedoms, which precludes that you are american — which is not limited to any size, shape, religion, ethinic origin or color. If you want to be a Boy Scout; you gotta know the salute and qualify by the rules. With that said, I refer you to a great blog from my friend Joel.

I Love This Stuff---Crap Kicker

My best friend, Tiny, told me about it....she's a walking google. The cool little ugly graphics made me pick it up and the rest is history.
Whenever, and rarely I do, get the crud or crap or somebody around me coughs, sneezes or otherwise, I drop the plop. AirBorne The #1 Natural Cold Remedy in the US! According to, "...celebrity event planner Colin Cowie says he's obsessed with Airborne. "When I travel, I'd rather leave my credit cards at home than leave my Airborne at home." Plus, Colin says it's fabulous for curing hangovers!" AIRBORNE’S unique natural formula of seven Herbal Extracts, Antioxidants, Electrolytes, and Amino Acids, offers maximum vitamin and herbal support for hours!* Plus its natural ginger component helps fight nausea.*

Airborne"This over-the-counter supplement may reduce the symptoms of newly developed upper respiratory infection--and they have clinical research to support that claim. The GNG Pharmaceutical company conducted a double-blind, placebo controlled, multi-center, randomized clinical trial using Airborne. In other words, the most reliable type of clinical research was completed. They studied adults above the age of eighteen who just developed cold symptoms within the previous twenty-four hours. The study found that 79 percent of the Airborne users had at least a partial decrease in symptoms, while only 23 percent of the placebo users reported a benefit. Those studied reported no adverse effects of any kind with either Airborne or the placebo. Does this mean Airborne will work for you? It's impossible to say, but the results of this first clinical study are encouraging. It is also comforting that there were no adverse effects associated with the product..." Mom's Health Matters, by Carrie Carter, MD

Best selling Airborne cold remedy formula was created by a second grade school teacher.

Victoria Knight-McDowell, an elementary school teacher who was sick of catching colds in class and on airplanes*, spent over five years developing AIRBORNE with a team of health professionals. AIRBORNE was created by combining seven herbs** (each with a specific function in Eastern medicine) then putting them through a patented extraction process, and THEN combining them with a unique formulation of amino acids, anti-oxidants and electrolytes. An effervescent carrier was used, as a way to deliver the nutritional benefits of AIRBORNE to the system immediately, and without the bulk of conventional pills. There’s nothing else like it!

Now you know!

Invisibility POSSIBLE!!!

Is Invisibility a Reality?

Invisible Man

I always believed that invisible was just another color. Finally science is near that realization.
Scientists close to creating invisibility. Read this story.

LIVERPOOL, England (UPI) -- A British mathematician has created a computer model that shows it's possible to make objects such as airplanes invisible, even at close range.

Scientists have already created an "invisibility cloak" made of a metamaterial that can bend electromagnetic radiation around a spherical space, making an object appear invisible.

But scientists currently can only make objects appear invisible from a distance. Now University of Liverpool mathematician Sebastien Guenneau -- in collaboration with Frederic Zolla and Professor Andre Nicolet of the University of Marseille -- has designed a computer model that proves objects can also be made to appear invisible from close range when light travels in waves rather than beams.

Scientists predict metamaterials could be of use in military technology, but it will be some years before invisibility cloaks can be developed for human beings.

"A cloak, such as the one worn by the Harry Potter character for example, is not yet possible, but it is a good example of what we are trying to move towards," said Guenneau.

Scientists predict invisibility will be possible for objects of any shape and size within the next decade.

The research findings are available in the journal Optic Letters.

Deadly Surfaces—Nonstick Consciences

I guess it should seem odd that noone is trustable, kind, honest, virtuous, etc....but aren't we always shocked by someone saying thank you or holding the door for us when our hands are full or offering to help us on side the road? Don't we always blink twice when someone is or does someting good anymore? In fact; sometimes you can go a whole week without encountering one of these "Little House on the Prairie" relics. I say that because my third favorite show always delivered a good message that you would hope to encounter in anyone everyday. You saw good examples of real life situations that someone CHOSE to do the right thing or at least Ma or Pa would make sure that good prevailed. In fact, once upon a time, the show was very popular. Whole families would gather and watch together, laughing as events surrounded these immaginary characters that seem to have the same problems as us. Funny, their solutions worked in real life too. Art imitates life and life imitates art; the same is true for trash. Do you know who your children are immitating now? It's probably the same thing you're watching. Guess what's poplular now. "Desperate Housewives," "Shoot 'em ups" and "sex 'em ups!"....hmmm....isn't it odd that what we watch is what we like and a close reflection of who we are or at least are trying to be....... But let's be real, we're adults, we know it's just TV and/or commercials.... The good thing about statistics; they are indifferent. Crime, divorce, rape, theft, intollerance, violence....all on the rise. Killers are younger and younger....more homes broken...more children molested.....more "trustable people" exposed in some grand scandal........not all nonstick surfaces are good......let the good stick!
